Optical Bonding Touch Screen
Optical bonding is the process of laminating the touch sensor and cover glass to the display with an optically clear adhesive, removing the air gap between the layers. This page is the category page for fully laminated, optically bonded touch screens; the bonding guide page compares full lamination with frame lamination as a selection question, which is a different angle on the same process.
What full lamination changes
Removing the air gap changes three things a buyer can see: reflections drop, because there are fewer surfaces for light to bounce off; contrast improves, because less stray light reaches the eye; and the stack becomes mechanically stronger, because the layers are bonded into one unit rather than held at the edges. Confirm optical performance and mechanical requirements for your intended installation.
Full lamination is the more involved process of the two bonding options, and it is usually chosen where readability in bright light or mechanical robustness matters most. Frame lamination, which bonds only at the edges, is the simpler option and is covered on the bonding guide page.
What to confirm before ordering
Please confirm whether full lamination is required or whether frame lamination is acceptable, the cover glass shape and treatment, the display and touch pairing, and the controller interface. Please also confirm the minimum order quantity and the delivery schedule before payment. Certificates available upon request.
- Confirm full lamination versus frame lamination
- Confirm the cover glass shape and optical treatment
- Confirm the display and touch pairing
